CB en Printforce expand printer fleet with the Canon ProStream 1000

CB and Printforce are expanding their printer fleet on their Dutch facilities with the Canon ProStream 1000. With this high quality printer we can expand our production capacity and offer customers an even better print quality.

The Canon ProStream 1000 is an advanced production printer that aligns perfectly with the growing customer demand for higher quality and a broader choice of media for sustainable, high-volume print productions. This will give Printforce and CB a total solution for the printing of high-quality printed matter with very short delivery times, and will enable the company to grow further by delivering even more orders quickly and efficiently.

The ProStream offers unprecedented print quality and we would like to invite our customers to get acquainted with it. Please contact Hubert de Koning via h.de.koning@cb.nl.

From Canon's press release:

Printforce has shown powerful growth in recent years and is currently one of the largest digital printing companies in Europe. It specialises in the inventory-free, on-demand printing of books and is capable of supplying small and large print volumes quickly and globally, in black and white and full colour, with hard or soft cover, and a print run of 1 to 1,000 copies. The digital bookstore guarantees maximum efficiency in stock management, logistics and production costs. Printforce has production facilities in the Netherlands and the UK.

The ProStream 1000 will be added to the existing printer fleet that already consists of, among others, the VarioPrint i-series and ColorStream-series by Canon. “Printforce and Canon have had an excellent relationship for many years. For example, Canon installed various high-volume inkjet solutions for us, such as the VarioPrint i-series and the ColorStream. We constantly challenge one another to get the very best performance from these production printers. Printforce aims to be at the forefront of innovation, including with regard to the expansion of its own range of services. The introduction of new technology like the ProStream 1000 fits in perfectly with this,” explains Rombout Eikelenboom, Managing Partner at Printforce.

“The market of digital book production has grown significantly in recent years. Print-on-demand has made a significant contribution to this. Canon aims to provide the best possible service to its customers by developing print solutions that support this service. We are proud that a major player like Printforce is joining forces with us again and expanding its production capacity with the installation of a Canon ProStream 1000,” explains Frank Huigen, Director Production Printing Products Benelux at Canon Benelux.

Printforce and CB

CB and Printforce started their collaboration in 2010 in the joint venture: Joint Book Services, the first printing line within CB with a focus on single copy. That company has grown into a successful producer of books. In 2017 CB and Printforce decided to work even more closely together to meet the growing demand for efficient production and logistics. CB is now co-owner (50%) of Printforce and Printforce has moved to Culemborg. In this way book production and logistics are fully connected.
