Collaboration CB and Bookwire in e-book and audiobook distribution

CB and Bookwire will jointly innovate audiobook and e-book distribution for CB's customers. With this cooperation we offer a fast, smart and future-proof distribution platform inside the familiar systems of CB.

Distribution engine

With their 'distribution engine', Bookwire will soon form the technical heart of e-book and audiobook distribution within the CB systems. With Bookwire as technical partner, we are able to adapt better and faster to the growing and changing market of digital books.

Advantages

• In addition to scalability and flexibility, the partnership delivers key benefits, including:
• Connection to Bookwire's network allowing publishers to deliver to even more (international) customers.
• Better security possibilities.
• Additional functionalities such as advertising in e-books and sending reading copies 'in bulk'.
• Bookwire specializes in digital distribution and is at the forefront of new technology that you can jump on directly.
• CB and the Dutch publishers will collectively be one of Bookwire’s largest customers. Together, both companies will work very closely to continuously improve the platform for Dutch publishers to maximize revenue opportunities and ensure innovation for the Dutch market.

In addition, the cooperation means that the distribution of e-books, audio books and physical books will continue to go through one and the same platform. CB's market and management information will also continue to reflect all forms of a title's appearance (combined reports).

Planning

In 2025 we will implement Bookwire in CB's systems. This year you will already notice some changes such as a better e-pub checker and better possibilities for bulk changes. In 2026 gradually the additional functionalities of Bookwire will come through CB

In preparing the choice for Bookwire, we have worked closely with several publishers. This way we ensure that we maximally meet their needs, now and in the future. Also in the follow-up steps, our customers remain involved.
