CB gets solar roof for own energy supply

Last week, ProfiNRG and CB signed the contract to install over 2,400 solar panels on the roof of CB's newly built warehouse in Culemborg.

The solar roof will enable CB to generate 1.300.000 kWh per year, comparable to the energy demand of around 375 households.

What is special is that with the solar roof we are creating our own energy supply for the new warehouse.

CB will deliver the new warehouse in autumn 2024. The building will receive a BREEAM Excellent certificate: a sustainable building due to reuse of materials, sustainable choice of materials, gas-free heating and the solar roof.

Second building with solar panels

The new warehouse is our second building to get solar panels. In 2021, we commissioned our new bins warehouse. This warehouse has panels generating about 500.000 kWh of solar energy.
